Vienna, June 2026 — From June 17 to June 20, 2026, the production team of CCTV Music Channel returned to Vienna to film a new series of programmes and broadcast materials connected with the Vienna Philharmonic’s Summer Night Concert 2026 at Schönbrunn Palace. UniArt provided full local production support throughout the filming period, including camera crew coordination, on-site logistics, and broadcast-related assistance.
This collaboration continues a partnership that dates back to the 1990s. For more than three decades, UniArt has supported Chinese broadcast work in Vienna for major classical music events, including the Vienna Philharmonic New Year’s Concert and the Vienna Philharmonic’s Summer Night Concert at Schönbrunn Palace. These productions have helped bring Vienna’s musical tradition and cultural atmosphere to audiences across China.
The Summer Night Concert at Schönbrunn Palace is one of the Vienna Philharmonic’s most celebrated annual events. Held in the baroque gardens of Schönbrunn Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the concert combines world-class orchestral performance with one of Vienna’s most iconic settings. The palace, the Gloriette, and the open-air stage create a unique atmosphere that distinguishes the event from a traditional concert hall performance.
The 2026 Summer Night Concert took place on June 19, 2026. Conducted by Lorenzo Viotti, with Welsh bass-baritone Sir Bryn Terfel as featured guest artist, the programme presented a wide musical range, including opera, operetta, musical theatre, ballet music, and symphonic works. With free public admission and television broadcasts reaching more than 80 countries worldwide, the concert once again served as a cultural gift from Vienna to audiences around the globe.
